In a pretty village in the lush Loire Valley, le Clos, former outbuildings of the XVII th century Chateau of Chavigny has a very impressive outside architecture very representative of this century. The successive owners have carefully preserved these buildings over centuries as an historic listed monument. It’s a pleasure in the morning to watch the sun rising over the fields where horses are grazing while feasting homemade marmalade, croissants and eggs in the vast dining room, with its white and black tiled floor and a huge fireplace quite unique in the region. The other faces the setting sun in a sumptuous sitting room with a beautiful “Versailles“ parquet floor and where a log fire will likely be cracking away .If you prefer reading or dreaming you will enjoy staying in the comfortable library. For billiard lovers a room is at their disposal contiguous to the dining room. White colour, beautiful beams, warm wood, stone suit the property’s pure elegance as do the antiques, paintings, art pieces and Persian carpets which ornate the 3 luxurious double bed rooms and the 2 bed room suite. Stay several days in le Clos Chavigny and take your time to explore with your hosts, Jean Claude and Moha , all the possible touristic visits and having time to discover them. The range is vast: the Loire Valley chateaux, Ussé, Azay le Rideau, Chinon……., Fontevraud Abbey, vineyards. Back to Le Clos Chavigny enjoy the garden and dream while floating in the pool.
