Le Grand Jardin

In the heart of the Provence, 30 km northeaster of Avignon, in the rolling landscape of the Lafare vineyards, among the limestone cliffs of the Dentelles Montmerail and at the foot of Ventoux Montex lies our B & B ' Le Grand Jardin' in the little village Lafare. Lafare is a beautiful area with cosy villages like Beaumes-de-Venise, Vacqueras, Luberon, Gigondas and beautiful historic towns such as Avignon, Orange, Vaison la Romaine, Carpentras and Nimes Pont du Gard nearby.

We offer you 5 charming and comfortable guest rooms in Provençal style with private terrace and stunning views of vineyards and Les Dentelles Montmirail. Each room has a private bathroom with bath or shower, sink and WC, heating in bedroom / bathroom, TV and free WIFI .
Just enjoy the peace and quiet in the middle of a beautiful flower garden and nature area.
In the morning between 08.30 and 10.30 AM we are serving a French breakfast on the terrace with incredible views of the well known Les Dentelles mountains.

During the season we serve dinner ( French and Mediterranean cuisine) several nights a week at 19.30pm.
The evening menu is shown in the hall in the morning, if you want to have dinner with us please let us know during breakfast.

ARRIVING FROM THE NORTH
Take A7 auto route LYON-VALENCE-MONTELIMAR.
Sortie (exit) at BOLLENE. Take the D8 past Rocheguide – Ste Cecile- les Vignes – Cairanne – BEAUMES-DE-VENISE (approx 33kms). At Beaumes-de-Venise follow our arrows D90 up to LAFARE (4kms) where you will find us in front of village. LE GRAND JARDIN.

ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH.
It is easier to fly into Marseille than to Nice. We are only 1,15 hours from Marseille. Or take TGV (train) to Avignon.

From NICE get into the A8 auto route direction Aix en Provence, after Aix it becomes the A7 which you follow until you get to AVIGNON – sortie (exit) at AVIGNON NORD and take the D942

From Marseille airport take direction SALON (do not go into Marseille) get on the A7 direction AVIGNON/LYON. Sortie (exit) the auto route at AVIGNON NORD and take the D942.

DIRECTION FROM TGV STATION
From here you follow the pointers direction CARPENTRAS you will arrive at a big robot crossroads in the Avignon Sud area, just follow the double road direction CARPENTRAS until you find yourself on the D942. Be careful there are speeds traps – limit is 90 km on this road.

You take the D942 (double road) direction CARPENTRAS. Follow the D942 until you see MONTEAUX EST/ LORIOL DU COMTAT where you exit. DO NOT GO INTO CARPENTRAS.
Take D107 at circle – direction Loriol, then direction Aubignan D126, turn left at roundabout and pass through village (D7) then branch right to BEAUMES-DE-VENISE. At BEAUMES take D90 direction Suzette / Malaucene / LAFARE (4kms) where you will find us in front of village. LE GRAND JARDIN.
